Cotton Candy Ice Cream (September Farm Cheese)

Ignore the tacky receipt I forgot to move but the ice cream at September Farm Cheese looks like something out of a movie set. The flavors are all pretty vibrant and delicious sounding so after lots of indecision my girlfriend and I shared this bright and colorful cotton candy ice cream. You would expect looking at this picture that it would be a very flavorful ice cream but it really isn’t. I had to remind myself that cotton candy by nature is just pretty colored sugar that tastes like nothing. That is exactly what this is, which I guess could be kind of unsettling.

This is one of those cases where it is an appetite to your eye only. By definition it has no flavor and the disappointment that this is spot on is a weird conundrum. It should be what it is but you really really want more.

Ben & Jerry’s Late Night Snack

When I think of anything delicious, frozen, or sweet an image of Jimmy Fallon does not appear. When I think of the man that follows Leno now I think of blown SNL skits, and a movie with Queen Latifah involving a taxi. Late Night Snack is a Ben & Jerry Flavor that Jimmy himself loves. This thing has potato chips in it so Fallon is crazy and has awful comedic timing.

The scary part of this ice cream is also its main draw, the potato chips. Thankfully even after looking I couldn’t tell where they were. The Ice Cream looks like a normal vanilla with bits and goodies inside.

Salty and Sweet is a forbidden dance this Ice Cream does do well. Add in the caramel’s low level spice factor and it is a great combo. I think the potato chips were actually the lamest flavor here. They were just kind of there and I could have done with or without them without noticing

I’m actually satisfied with this product, maybe a distinct flavor for the chips would have been better. The taste is creamy with the pieces giving it a more complex taste but it never comes off like your eating potato chips from a bag.
